H. Greer Peters, BFA, MA - Gourd Artist

Greer has always been interested in art, from grade school when she won contests for the best horse head to the gourd shows she is now entering and winnning ribbons, to the art fairs where she is now showing and selling her gourd art and winning recognition at that level. She enjoys teaching others skills so they too can enjoy the process of creating art regardless of what media or form. She obtained a BFA from Ohio University and taught across the US and Europe as she followed her Army husband around. She is influenced first by nature for the forms, color and natural textures and second by places she has lived and the art and culture she found in each place. Now with her love of gourds as her primary medium, all of this influences her gourd art.
